TorTalk and Prince Carl Philip at Take Part
TorTalk at Take Part
TorTalk AB was an exhibitor during the Take Part congress and met Swedish and international universities, libraries and Prince Carl Philip there.
The international congress Take Part was organized this year by MTM (The Authority for Accessible Media) at Norra Latin in Stockholm. MTM is perhaps best known for Legimus, which produces audiobooks mainly for students in Sweden. TorTalk text-to-speech is an excellent complement to Legimus as many students need to be able to listen to all e-resources, PDF files, compendiums, web articles and more.
Prince Carl Philip, who since last year has been officially involved in dyslexia issues, gave the opening speech during Take Part. The Prince also visited the exhibitor section of the convention and stopped for a chat with Tor Ghai at the TorTalk booth. With dyslexia as the common denominator, they both agreed that reading by listening could be frustrating if the reading speed is too slow. See the interview with the Prince from Take Part.
